About Christina

Christina Lloyd started dancing at the age of three. Growing up, she studied Tap, Jazz, Ballet, Hip Hop, Clogging, Turning Technique, Contemporary/Lyrical, and Character dance, and danced across the U.S. and Europe in touring companies. Later, she danced and competed with the UVSC Ballroom Team which took 1st at the International Blackpool Competition.

Christina transferred to BYU & became the only student in BYU’s Folk Dance history (before or since) to make the “Top-Ten Couple Team” her first semester. Christina received the coveted Pardoe Dance Scholarship given to only one girl per year, and was awarded “Most Outstanding Dancer” by BYU’s faculty.

Before graduating from BYU, Christina opened and directed her own studio: The Academy of Dance Performance located in Spanish Fork, Utah. When she became a mother seven years later, Christina sold her studio so she could spend more time with her family.

Almost three years after her first daughter was born, Christina realized she wanted to be her daughters’ first dance teacher. Soon after that realization, she opened the doors to Christina’s Corner Dance Studio in Lindon, Utah where she and her small staff now teach more than 100 dancers of all ages.
